Building diverse teams, and getting the best out of them
Culture war baiting to one side, all of the evidence shows that more diverse teams are more effective and efficient at operating and rising to challenges - and appealing to greater diversity widens the pool of talent we can recruit from. Many parts of the rail industry have targets to achieve greater diversity in their teams for these reasons. And yet, recruiting and retaining diverse talent can be extremely difficult.
