The Transport Benevolent Fund CIO (TBF) offers support in times of need, hardship, and distress.

Comprehensive Support

For just £1.25 a week, that’s less than 20p a day, TBF offers a wide range of financial, health, and welfare benefits to you, your live-in partner, and dependent children. This includes hardship grants, PPCs, medical consultations, convalescence, a wide range of complementary and alternative therapies, welfare advice, legal advice and bereavement grants.

Inclusive Membership

Anyone working in the public transport industry in Great Britain can join TBF and be eligible for assistance, providing peace of mind knowing that support is available when you need it most.

Dedicated Assistance

The fund has more than one hundred years of providing timely and effective support. During the last quarter of 2025, awards to members totalled £863,805, and the current membership is in excess of 64,000.
