Stog was founded in Munich in 1976 by Arnulf Stog. The company designs and manufactures expansion joint constructions and joint tapes at its facility in Waltrop, near Dortmund. In addition to its core expertise in expansion joints, Stog has developed specialised products, including compensation plates and crossbeams. These components enable efficient, reliable bridging solutions, particularly in railway applications.

The compensation plates are designed in accordance with DB guideline 804.5202 and are certified by Germany’s Federal Railway Authority (EBA). They ensure compliance with maximum rail support spacing requirements (e.g., 650 mm), reduce uplift forces at rail support points, and facilitate precise adjustments for ballastless track bridge setups.

The cross beams for provisional bridges feature hydraulically adjustable vertical bearings, allowing the provisional structures to be raised or lowered by +50 mm / -20 mm. This capability enables accurate height adjustment during installation and use.
