Network Rail
Network Rail owns, operates, maintains, and develops the railway infrastructure across Great Britain. That's 20,000 miles of track, 30,000 bridges, tunnels, and viaducts, thousands of signals, level crossings, and stations and 20 of the country's largest railway stations.
Our purpose is to connect people and goods with where they need to be and to run a safe, reliable and efficient rail network. Our vision is to deliver a simpler, better, greener railway for our customers and communities.
Network Rail is split into five geographical regions. These regions and routes are devolved businesses and allow us to make decisions locally.
