PowerStor PWR2

The PowerStor is a walk-in, open-shelved storage solution designed to keep lithium-ion battery charging safe and efficient. Featuring our cutting-edge F.I.R.E.E. Technology, it’s the ultimate choice for those needing a secure, designated area to charge larger equipment, bringing you peace of mind and the trusted reliability Armorgard is known for.

Integral security is at the heart of the design, from the folded sheet steel construction to the twin 5-lever deadlocks.

For your safety, a stand-alone fire suppression system comes as standard. Automatically activated by heat or smoke, this helps to protect the unit and its contents at all times.

Forklift pockets & crane lifting eyes enable you to easily reposition this unit as required – isolate it to minimise fire risk, or keep it right by the site offices for easy management.

With 32 individually RCD protected sockets spread over 4 shelves, there’s plenty of charging points for everyone on site. Powered by a single 32A / 230V supply, this unit arrives preassembled to help you get started easily and quickly.

Putting measures in place that proactively protect your Li-ion batteries whilst charging is a wise thing to do. Having a solution that does that for you is even better.

The PowerStor has 4 key proactive features that have been made to specifically keep the environment optimum for charging Li-ion batteries. These include power cut-off when the internal temperature reaches 60 degrees. A temperature regulating heater to keep the temperature at the right level as well as forced ventilation to keep air flowing and an on/off isolator switch for simple operation.

Batteries can sometimes be prone to faults, which is why the PowerStor is equipped with several reactive safety features to minimise the consequences in the event of a fire. If a fire occurs, both visual and audible alarms will immediately alert individuals nearby, prompting them to contact emergency services.

The unit is equipped with a certified fire suppressant specifically designed to tackle Li-ion battery fires, targeting the fire at its source.

In cases where a battery enters thermal runaway and starts releasing hazardous gases, the smoke detector will also set off the fire suppressant whilst activating the fan to exhaust the dangerous gases. Meanwhile, the power supply to the sockets is also automatically disconnected to reduce any further hazards.

All of these emergency beacons, when triggered, will send an emergency SMS text or call to the programmed phone number or landline to notify the user of an emergency via the GSM system located within the PowerStor.
