Liebherr RH925
The Liebherr RH925 is a tracked road rail excavator and one of the newest machines in our fleet, chosen because it brings together capability, safety and cleaner operation in a way that matters on the live railway.
It’s approved to work under live OLE, a significant operational advantage. The machine can keep working in electrified environments where many machines cannot, reducing the need for isolations and helping protect already tight programmes.
The safety specification is where the RH925 stands out, and it’s a standard the wider industry is still catching up to. It carries onboard fire suppression for early protection in the event of a fire, which is a serious risk on any plant and one we take seriously. It is also fitted with BMair Protector cab filtration and pressurisation, keeping the cab at positive pressure to protect the operator from dust and airborne contaminants. Over a long shift, on the kind of ground we work in, that makes a real difference to operator health.
Cleaner, better-equipped plant is central to how we invest in the fleet, and the RH925 reflects that direction.
Its a capable machine too. Its boom configuration and tandem lift capability handle excavation, materials handling and panel work, while its tracked base gives stability and reach on uneven, constrained ground.
Come and see it on the stand at Rail Live.
