Develon DD130

The Develon DD130 is the first of two new dozers joining the Readypower Rail Services fleet, and it reflects how we want to invest in plant going forward.
It runs a Stage 4/5 compliant engine, rated at 117kW (156.9 HP), so it meets the latest emissions standards without compromising on the power needed for heavy earthworks and formation work on rail projects. Cleaner plant on site is not a box-ticking exercise for us. It’s the right thing to do, and we’re putting it into the fleet accordingly.
The cab is designed for optimal all-round visibility, giving the operator a clear line of sight to the working area and to the people around the machine. On busy, constrained rail sites, that is a genuine safety benefit, not just a comfort one.
The DD130 is also fitted with GPS machine control, so grading and levelling can be worked to design from the cab, with greater accuracy and less rework. That means tighter tolerances, less time on site and a more predictable programme.
